McKees Rocks, PA – McKees Rocks Community Development Corporation (MRCDC) and PennDOT invite the public to attend a meeting on June 26, 2024, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. regarding the lower Chartiers Avenue roadway improvement streetscape project.
MRCDC and PennDOT are developing concept designs at the intersections of Chartiers Avenue and Linden Street to promote multimodal transportation safety and create cohesive, community-friendly spaces along the project area.
“The public meeting is an opportunity for the McKees Rocks community to review the concept designs
that we are considering for this downtown intersection,” said Jeb Feldman, economic development director. “We want to include the public in this decision-making process and receive input on the design options associated with the streetscape improvements.”
The public meeting is a hybrid format being held in-person and virtually. In-person attendance is encouraged. The meeting will be held at the Roxian Theatre, 425 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks. Those planning to attend virtually can access the meeting link and call-in information at mckeesrocks.com/blog.
“The feedback we receive at the public meeting will help to narrow down the concepts and tailor the roadway improvement designs to the downtown McKees Rocks community,” said Feldman.
