Calling all Sto-Rox Area Snappers/Artists/
MRCDC is sponsoring a Snapchat Geofilter Contest and you are encouraged to create and submit a simple drawing that defines the McKees Rocks area.
For those of you who don’t know what a Snapchat Geofilter is, it’s basically a graphic that serves as an overlay or sticker for snaps (pictures) that can be accessed in certain areas. For contest purposes, the accessible zone for our Community Geofilter will be the Sto-Rox area.
The winning artwork will become a Community Geofilter and the designer will be rewarded with 2.5 hours toward school-required community service. We will arrange for their drawing to be converted to a transparent web-optimized PNG file and uploaded to Snapchat for everyone in the Sto-Rox area to use on their snaps!
Rules:
- All graphics/drawings used must be 100% original.
- No brands, logos or trademarks.
- No photographs.
- No hashtags.
- Be creative and make it visually compelling.
- Don’t cover up too much of the screen.
- Make sure it is relevant to the McKees Rocks area and is something that people will want to use.
- Create with portrait/vertical orientation in mind.
- Limit hand drawn image to 5 x 7 inches. Do NOT fold, crease.
- Digital images in 16:9 ratio accepted.
- Include name, age and contact information with submission.
